Why book here: Right at the base of the Superstition Mountains, with desert trails, spring wildflowers, and some of the best sunset light in the state.
Good to know: It is a state park with a day-use entry fee, and there is some walking on desert trails.
Goldfield Ghost Town

Why book here: A restored Old West town with weathered wood buildings and rustic character, set against the Superstitions. A blast when you want something different.

Do I need a permit to photograph in Apache Junction?
Lost Dutchman is a state park with a day-use entry fee. Goldfield Ghost Town is a private attraction, so it is worth checking their policy for a session. Organized shoots on nearby Tonto National Forest land can need a permit. If your spot needs one, I will flag it before we book.
When is the best time of day for photos in Apache Junction?
Sunset is the magic hour out here, when the light hits the Superstition Mountains and everything glows. Spring also brings wildflowers to Lost Dutchman. Summer gets very hot, so we shoot early in the day.
Which Apache Junction location is right for my session?
