For a normal family or portrait session, usually not. Chandler reviews photo and film requests case by case, and permits generally come into play for larger productions or when you are reserving a park pavilion or otherwise impacting public use. If you are planning something bigger, the city’s Film Chandler office can confirm what you need.
Chandler parks are open from 6 a.m. to 10:30 p.m., so both sunrise and the golden hour before sunset are on the table. In the warmer months we usually shoot early in the morning to stay comfortable and catch the softest light.
Coordinated, not matchy. Soft, solid, mid-tone colors photograph beautifully against Chandler’s desert and green spaces. It helps to skip tiny busy patterns and bright neons. Once we pick your location, I am happy to give more specific guidance.
Downtown Chandler is full of coffee shops and ice cream spots within a short walk, which makes it an easy place to wrap up a session, especially with kids in tow.
