Next available sessions
For a normal family or portrait session in a Mesa city park, usually not. Keep in mind that Usery Mountain is a Maricopa County park with a $7 per vehicle day-use fee, and larger productions or reserved ramadas can have their own rules. If you are planning something bigger, I can help you sort out what is needed.
Sunrise and the golden hour before sunset both work well. Riverview Park looks its best in the late afternoon, while the desert at Usery and Red Mountain is stunning at sunrise. In summer we usually shoot early to stay comfortable and get the softest light.
Coordinated, not matchy. Soft, solid, mid-tone colors read beautifully against Mesa’s desert and green parks, and the downtown murals pop with simpler, cleaner outfits. Once we pick your location, I am happy to give more specific guidance.
Green and classic family look, Riverview Park. Bold desert and mountains, Usery or Red Mountain. Colorful, urban, and modern, downtown Mesa’s Main Street murals. Not sure? Send me a message and I will match the spot to your session and timing.
