Peoria is an easygoing, family-friendly city to photograph in, and there are more good spots out here in the West Valley than people expect.
Pioneer Community Park has a five-acre lake, mature trees, and a big public art sculpture, plus a dog park if you want to bring your pup. Rio Vista is another great family spot with a fishing lake and open green space. And if you want something more dramatic, Lake Pleasant up north gives you desert and water together, which is hard to find anywhere else in the Valley.
The nice thing about Peoria is that we can pick a spot that fits you, instead of squeezing every family into the same park because it’s what everyone else uses.
I photograph families, couples, seniors, and professionals all over Peoria and the West Valley, and I know these parks well enough to match your session to the right place and the right light. Want to see who you’d be working with first? Here’s a little more about me.
One thing I hear all the time is, “We’re awkward in front of the camera.”
Perfect.
Most of the people I photograph feel exactly the same way.
Whether I’m photographing a CEO who has five minutes between conference sessions or a toddler who has decided today is absolutely not the day they’re going to cooperate, my job is the same: help everyone relax, keep things moving, and make the experience feel easy.
You don’t need to know how to pose. You don’t need to worry about where to put your hands.
I’ll guide you through the whole session while still leaving room for the moments that happen naturally. Those are usually the photos people end up loving the most.
I wanted to create something that felt completely risk-free.
So instead of asking you to pay hundreds of dollars before we’ve even met, I flipped the process around.
It’s a simple system, and after thousands of sessions, I know it works.
Headshots work a little differently because they require more planning and a consistent setup, especially for professionals, teams, and branding sessions.
The good news? This is what I do every week.
I’ve photographed thousands of professionals across the country at conferences, trade shows, and corporate events. Some days I’m photographing hundreds of people in a single day while keeping every image consistent, polished, and professional.
That experience carries over whether I’m photographing one executive, an entire office, or someone updating their LinkedIn headshot.
You’ll get guidance throughout the session, clean professional lighting, and a process that’s efficient without ever feeling rushed.
One of my favorite compliments is when someone says,
“That was way easier than I expected.” That’s exactly what I’m aiming for.
No confusing packages. No pressure to buy more than you want. No wondering what happens next.
Just a relaxed experience, a gallery delivered within a few days, and photos you’ll actually be excited to share.
Whether you’re looking for updated family photos, senior portraits, or professional headshots, I’d love to help.
If you’re not sure which Peoria location is the best fit, send me a message. I’ve photographed all over the Valley, and I’m happy to recommend a spot based on the style you’re looking for and the time of year.
And if Peoria isn’t quite right, I also photograph in Glendale, Phoenix, and Scottsdale.

Why book here: A 52-acre park with a fishing lake, open green space, and a walking path. Plenty of room to spread out and keep kids comfortable.
Where: Lake Pleasant Regional Park, north Peoria
Ideal for: Engagements, adventurous sessions, seniors
Why book here: Desert and water together, with rugged hills around a big blue lake. It is one of the most dramatic backdrops in the West Valley, especially at sunset.
Good to know: It is a Maricopa County park, so an entry fee applies, and it is a bit of a drive north.
Where: Old Town Peoria
Ideal for: Seniors, couples, lifestyle sessions
Why book here: A small, historic district with character, good for a relaxed, hometown feel when you want something other than a park.
For a normal family or portrait session in a Peoria city park, usually not. Lake Pleasant is a Maricopa County park with an entry fee, and larger productions can have their own rules. If we are planning something bigger, I will help you sort out what is needed.
Sunrise and the golden hour before sunset both work well. The lakes at Pioneer and Rio Vista look their best in the late afternoon, and Lake Pleasant is stunning right at sunset. In summer we usually shoot early to stay comfortable.
Classic family look with a lake, Pioneer or Rio Vista. Bringing the dog, Pioneer’s dog park. Something dramatic with desert and water, Lake Pleasant. Not sure? Send me a message and I will match the spot to your session.
Coordinated, not matchy. Soft, solid, mid-tone colors read beautifully against Peoria’s lakes and desert. Once we pick your location, I am happy to give more specific guidance.
