You don’t need to know how to pose, what to do with your hands, or how to look “natural” in front of a camera. That’s my job.
Maternity sessions with me are relaxed and easy. I’ll guide you through the entire shoot, while still leaving plenty of room for the little moments that happen naturally between you, your partner, and your family.
Most of my locations are also chosen with easy parking and short walks in mind, because most people would not want to go on a hike while also being 8 months pregnant.

When is the best time to book a maternity session?
The sweet spot is usually 28 to 34 weeks. Your bump is beautifully round by then, but you are still comfortable enough to move and enjoy the session.
If you are expecting multiples or have a high-risk pregnancy, a little earlier can be smart. Not sure where you land? Reach out with your due date and we will pick the right window together.
The Best Spots for Maternity Photos in the Valley
We can match the backdrop to the look you want:
- Soft desert and saguaros – the desert around Phoenix and Tempe (Papago Park), or the Superstitions out by Apache Junction.
- Lush green and water – the Riparian Preserve in Gilbert or Encanto Park in Phoenix.

What should I wear for maternity photos?
Flowy, solid-colored dresses look beautiful and move well, and form-fitting styles show off the bump. Bring a couple of options. Soft, earthy, mid-tone colors work great against Arizona’s desert and greenery. Once we choose your location, I will send more specific guidance.
Can my partner and kids be in the photos?
Absolutely. Maternity sessions are a great time for family photos, and I am happy to include your partner, kids, and even the family dog. We will get some just of you and some of everyone together.
Where do you photograph maternity sessions?
All over the Valley. Soft desert light around Phoenix and Tempe, lush green at the Gilbert Riparian Preserve, the dramatic Superstitions near Apache Junction, or a clean studio-style setup year-round. We match the spot to the look you want.
Do you offer free mini-sessions for maternity?
I usually have free mini-sessions every weekend. Spots are not specific to session type so feel free to book a maternity session anytime a 30 minute slot is available. Mini-sessions are free to book and you only pay for the photos you love AFTER you get your gallery.
