For a normal family or portrait session in Old Town or a city park, usually not. Larger productions or reserved spaces can have their own rules, and the McDowell Sonoran Preserve has its own guidelines for organized shoots. If we are doing something bigger, I will help you check.
Old Town photographs beautifully in soft morning or late-afternoon light, and the desert at McDowell is stunning right at sunset. In summer we usually shoot early to stay comfortable and catch the best light.
Artsy and urban, Old Town’s murals. Desert and mountain views, the McDowell Sonoran Preserve. Elegant and polished, the Civic Center gardens. Family fun with kids, McCormick-Stillman Railroad Park. Not sure? Send me a message and I will match the spot to your session.
Coordinated, not matchy. Soft, solid, mid-tone colors work well against both Old Town’s color and the desert. In Old Town, simpler outfits let the murals pop. Once we pick your location, I am happy to give more specific guidance.
