Do I need a permit to photograph in Tempe?
For a normal family or portrait session in a Tempe city park, usually not. Bigger productions, reserved spaces, or shooting on the ASU campus can have their own rules. If we are doing something beyond a standard session, I will help you sort out what is needed.
Where are the best ASU graduation photos taken?
Old Main, the Palm Walk, and the classic campus architecture are the go-to spots for ASU grad and senior photos. Early mornings and weekends are quieter. You can see more on my ASU and graduation pages.
When is the best time of day for photos in Tempe?
Sunrise and the golden hour before sunset both work well. Tempe Town Lake looks its best as the sun goes down over the water, and in summer we usually shoot early to stay comfortable and catch the softest light.
What should we wear for our session?
Coordinated, not matchy. Soft, solid, mid-tone colors read beautifully against Tempe’s water, greenery, and desert. Once we pick your location, I am happy to give more specific guidance.
How much do headshot session cost?

Do I need to know how to pose for a headshot session?
No. I guide you through the whole session. I help with expression, hand/foot placement, check jewelry, ties, and other accessories.
Can you come to my office in Tempe?
Yes. I can bring my mobile headshot studio to your office for one person or the whole team. It takes about 30 minutes to set up but I only need 3-5 minutes with each person to get the perfect headshot.
